Greetings!

Howdy Geigers, Scoteses, and all those other folks who love us for some reason or another! Here's the deal. Jon and I don't want a big wedding ceremony. Plus, we really don't want to have to celebrate our anniversary EVERY year. So we'll  be getting married quietly on Monday, February 29th, 2016.

What we DO want, however, is to throw a big, awesome party for our families, and everyone who loves us like family. Seriously, you guys are the reason we've made it this far. We adore you, and want to buy you delicious food and drinks. And dance and play games with you. Because you rock. On Saturday, March 5th, 2016, we'll be having a party for YOU. Yes, I will be wearing a pretty white dress, and yes, Jon will be wearing a tie, but that doesn't mean you have to. Of course, if you want to wear a pretty dress, you're welcome to. (Rob, I'm talking to you.) And if you happen to own a snazzy tuxedo that's begging to be taken out of the closet, no one's going to stop you. But if you also want to bring a pair of bunny slippers, we won't judge.

Engaged!

The weekend before Christmas 2014, and Maggie was making cookies for a party at work. Jon had purchased the ring a week before. When he finally managed to get the words out, Maggie was beaming. "Yes. Yes yes yes." As soon as she'd washed the cookie dough off her hands, the ring took it's place on her left hand.
A week later, while volunteering at the Evanston Animal Shelter, Maggie broke her ring finger when it got caught in the collar of a naughty dog. Thinking quickly, she slipped the ring onto her right hand before the swelling started. No worries, her hand is fine, and the ring fits again.
